POLITICALLY CORRECT VS. SPIRITUAL POSTURE

Politically correct: conforming to a belief that language and practices which could offend political sensibilities should be eliminated.
Spiritual posture: attitudes and positions of consciousness that are centered in the soul.

How often are we silent due to not wanting to hurt the feelings of another? We miss out on opportunities to allow someone to know better - or grow better. We, as a worldly society, would much rather be politically correct or "real" based upon our own experiences. When in fact - our individual experiences are not real in the lives of many. The sliding grading scale of beliefs/circumstances/experiences vary from one person to another.
In Jesus' day it was no different; He was expected to be politically correct as well. Case and point the parable from Mark 2:5-9: "Jesus said to the crippled man, "my friend, your sins are forgiven." Some of the teachers of the Law of Moses were sitting there. They started wondering, "Why would he say such a thing? He must think he is God! Only God can forgive sins." Right away, Jesus knew what they were thinking, and he said, "Why are you thinking such things? Is it easier for me to tell this crippled man that his sins are forgiven or to tell him to get up and pick up his mat and go on home?""
What if Jesus would have been like so many of us? Appeasing to man; quick to change how we handle things because "we think we know what people are thinking." In the documentation and doctrine of mankind politically correctness - has lead to tip toeing around very important "life topics" - it has become such a great character flaw of most human beings.
Next time you have an opportunity to display spiritual posture vs. political correctness always  remember to go for what is spiritually right. - Your "political and/or moral stance" could be - and probably is- coming from a biased place. Sparing the feelings of another does not promote or encourage growth - as a matter fact it keeps a person stagnant, stale, and lifeless. How can you change the life around you? I will tell you how: by encouraging those around you to promote love, peace, and happiness regardless of race, gender, social status, etc.. Check your spiritual posture and then do the following:  Be the change. Be the light. Be the platform to life.
