Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....But WHO beholds the eye?

Try searching for images using the word "beauty" and see what you get - nothing really worth the search or time. 
*Beauty: the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the sense or pleasure to the senses or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit. 
Regardless to what language is used - *beau (French), *hermoso (Spanish), *nzuri (Swahili) - the natural beholder sees the beauty through their eyes but that is as far as he/she can see. 

Society determines that in order for a woman to be considered a beauty she should have a big butt, big boobs, small waist, flowing locks, and full lips. Thin is in - fat is.........well -duh it's fat because in order to be noticed - she must have killer curves - shiny lips - low cut shirt - and tight jeans - oh wait maybe a short skirt/dress will do the trick. It doesn't matter that her self-esteem is shot to hell or that she is hollow on the inside - nope...she is society's jaded perception of "WIFEY MATERIAL" ...oh but does beauty fade - and boy does it fade fast. 
Relationship - after relationship- man after man- she keeps hitting "refresh" and while the page reloads -in between sobs- there is a Voice - that whispers, "my darling daughter - you are beautiful enough, simply because I created you and I don't make mistakes." 
So when society tries to influence women to think that their natural beauty isn't beautiful enough - plant your feet on solid ground- poke out your chest - take a deep breath and say:
And then ask yourself Who beholds the eye of the beholder? Kingdom beauty which is spiritual beauty exceeds the natural realm's comprehension by a long shot. 1 Peter 3-4 reminds us that God sees us from the inside out- trust His judgment. Then take a look in the mirror - -check your spiritual beauty and do the following: Be the change. Be the light. Be the platform to life. ~jess
